Vandra is a platform for outdoor adventures. Plan multi-day hiking trips stage by stage, with real tracks, sights and accommodation along the route, follow your progress in the app, and log the animals you spot. The website and the app are both full products: you can plan and browse on vandra.io and take everything with you in the app.

Yes. Vandra is completely free: planning trips, following tracks, saving animals, all of it. There are no ads and no paid tiers.

Both work. The website (vandra.io) is a full planning tool: browse curated trips, open the map, study stages, and build your own trip. The app adds what a browser cannot do: GPS tracking on the trail, offline use and wildlife logging. Plans you make on the web are ready in the app.

Both. There is a growing collection of curated multi-day trips, hand-picked and described stage by stage with accommodations and sights. On top of that you can build your own trips from scratch on the map and share them with others.

Every trip is built from real trail tracks, shown per stage on the map. You can view the elevation profile, follow your live position on the track in the app, and download tracks as GPX to use on a GPS device or in another app.

Yes. In the app you can save a trip with its tracks and use it offline on the trail, including your position on the map. Useful in areas with poor coverage, like mountain ranges and national parks.

Yes. Curated trips suggest accommodation at the end of each stage: hotels, guesthouses, campsites and huts, with contact details so you can book directly with them. Vandra is free and does not add any booking fees; you book with the accommodation itself.

While outdoors you can log the animals you see, from deer to golden eagles. Your observations build a personal overview, and shared location data helps show where animals are active. Rare and sensitive species are handled carefully.

You can browse the website freely. To save trips, plan, log animals and sync between web and app you need a free account. You can delete your account and data yourself in the app at any time.

Vandra is available as an app for iOS and Android, and the full planner runs in the browser on vandra.io. Trips sync between the two.

Trail conditions can change, for example after the large wildfire in the High Fenn in August 2026, where parts of the plateau remained closed. Always check the current access information from the local park or tourism organisation shortly before you leave, and respect closed paths and barriers.
