Sandstone, shale and the Our
Luxembourg is small but has three different landscapes. In the east lies the Mullerthal with sandstone towers, gorges and beech forest, in the north the Éislek with shale, deep valleys and the Our following the German border. In the south lie the old mining country and the Moselle vineyards.
The paths are short but stony, and the whole country can be crossed on foot in a week.
You can walk from March to November; in summer the woods are cool and dry.
